daylight2557 posted a new activity comment The activist idol game might've appeared fun to some but the whole thing was a bit strange: It might have been ok if people had been given an opportunity to simply stand on a soap box and speak their minds, but adding a panel of judges to the mix was odd. No one's opinions there was less worthy than anyone else's. The competition component cheapened what some had to say and placed weight on other viewpoints. The other problem I had with activist idol was the placement of the camera behind anyone who stood on the soap box. Those "butt shots," were pretty insulting to those who chose to speak out. In fact, the whole idol show broke up the crowd into those who thought it was a great idea and those who did not want to participate, diminishing the atmosphere of cohesion that had been sustained since Friday. No doubt lots of people were in different areas going after the globalists during the protest, but everyone stayed on message. You could see the energy return when Alex showed up on Saturday evening. Those who had chosen to avoid activist idol returned to slamming the Bilderbergers. Whether Alex likes it or not, he is a leader and I'm glad he returned to rally the group and continue the demonstration. We Are Change does outstanding work, but the idol thing was not fitting of the venue.
